Stoner: "I felt really good out there but about halfway round I started to tire," said the Australian. "I couldn't control the bike and I let Valentino pass. |
Mind games? Or just more excuses?

I'll go for the latter as Rossi was just following behind waiting to make a move

Of course we could try to de-value Rossi's achievement by saying that he only beat Pedrosa because of Bridgstone tyres and the late arrival of Honda's pneumatic valve engine!!!!!!!! Pinna

The pneumatic valve Honda was available at the start of the year, but Pedrosa was leading the championship with the old engine, so it's not a factor Pedrosa was always bound to miss at least one race this year as he doesn't appear to be able/willing to ride injured which means that he will never maintain a championship challenge. anyway you forgot Stoners 2 dnfs at Brno and Misano. and you even forgot Rossi scoring points in every round with only 2 non-podium finishes

'and I let Valentino pass' I'm not sure he had much say in the matter. Well done Rossi, the best we are ever likely to see.

Glad to see Rossi win the championship...... so what's his motivation for next year Too bad he signed with Yamaha again. He should go for the record of championships on different makes and go to Suzuki.... or wait until 2010 when they replace 250cc with 600s and win that championship (to win every class size) . He's definately in a leaque of his own.... guess we'll have to hope that being 30 next year will slow him down a bit..
