been torential here & bloody windy too. you can imagine how rough it can be here when it gets going the forecast is better for here but bad in the midlands which is a bummer because we were looking forward to it but can't see the point in travelling for 2 hours just to find out it's been cancelled due to bad weather.

Pa ... as you say the forecast is heavy rain for Darley Moor. I've no great desire to get wet on the way there, spend the day being wet, then riding home in the wet.... even though that probably means that I'm a great big poof. The Hercules run sounds a better bet to me ....

Anyone fancy this instead? Mal's up for it and Ma & Pa, possibly Custard weather permitting but it looks like the weather is going to be good up north for a change. 7th Hercules Run 2008 9am Sunday 5th October Leaving from Preesall Fleetwood's Charity School, Mill St, Preesall for approx 140 mile ride to Wensleydale Cheese Factory at Hawes, via the Yorkshire Dales. £10 entry (£15 with pillion) Prizes awarded including the prestigious Hercules trophy. We're taking some butties etc for lunch and you can get some cheese for Grommit.

That's a real shame ... I was quite looking forward to checking Darley Moor out having gone past the gates quite a few times. Blooming BBC weather reports ......
