End of summer, when the idiots have gone off the roads, I normally take a long weekend to have me a blast around Scotland   
Anyone want to come along feel free.
No date set as yet - but will be in September sometime.
Probably involve Thrusday night stay near the Eng/Scot border, Friday ride up the west bit to round about Fort William to Kyle of lochalsh -ish area
Saturday ride round the west in a loop towards Jo'G Sunday begine the journey back staying overnight in range of days ride home monday.
As usual with me, motorways don't feature very highly in the itinerary

GD - I'd be very interested in this one as long as the dates could be worked out - problem being I never know until last minute whether I'm working 
I'll keep an eye on the thread and maybe book into Thirsk for a tyre a bit earlier

Thought I'd invite youz lot along.
I was bored after Scropton soo.. .... Just got back from doing the very same ride - it was mint.
Camped out at St Mary's lock Scotland on night 1 for a princely sum of £3.  Then Stayed 2 nights on Ullapool campsite at £8 per night.
Of course, when with company (i.e. yeez lot) I reckon we'll be in hostel/hotel - don't think Jimmy's owld bones can stand a night on the lawn
Anyway, I sussed out some good bunk houses and hostels last week. So should be a doddle for accom.
Dates:
I reckon we can engineer it around who's available.
Just let me know what dates you can't do, and I'll arrange accordingly.

Hey Jimmy, how's that back tyre performing anyway~?
I put one on mine before the alps trip, I've done about 3500 miles on it now, alps then scotland, and its just starting to square off.
Damn good value if you ask me.

6/7 could be a bit tricky for me so not sure whether it's  or
13/14 S/fest so
20/21 also for miss whiplash

I have minus 6 days leave left so needs to be Sat Sun for me but I could set out to Scottie land most early (00:00) Sat to catch you up?
Tyre is doin well Geordie although probably haven't done more than couple of hundred since E/W and couldn't honestly tell yer if I notice grip was any less

id luv to get involved with this a proper big tour uk style, but im busy early sept, twins bday and wed anniv, and was planning on watching bsb at silverstone on last w/e, maybe next year.

I live in a wee village called Tongue on the FAR North coast of Scotland.I f you lot make it this far North it would be great if you could pop in for a cuppa, maybe even a bbq. I'll keep an eye on this thread. If any of you want to meet in Tongue, let me know and I'll contact other Trumpy owners up here in the North.
Maybe a mini Far North Scroppers?

it was loooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnngggggggg
have done 3500-3800 miles - not sure coz me battery went flat and i lost me trip miles
weather in cz was 30+ degrees 1st night, mega thunderstorms 2nd night, and cloudy\sunny spells rest of the time.
Beer was aboot 70p a pint.
rode down via the alps - coz its good
shame you can't get on the trip
