Stripped 'em down to replace leaky oil seal and found what seem to be knacked lower bushes (hardly any coating left - which might explain why the oil looked so dirty...). The problem is that the Triumph parts list doesn't seem to show the lower bushes (3 dealers haven't been able to find them and neither have I, looking at their computers) Does anybody know what the part number is for the lower bush is ? B

They're rarer than rocking horse s**t ! Not available from Triumph. Nothing available from K-tech (or most other suspension specialists) The size is 43mm x 1mm x 15mm (I think the '43mm' bit must be nominal but it's what most of the suppliers use toreference the diameter) MH Racing Servies in Calne have a couple 'on the shelf' Race Tech have them listed (their 955i Sprint part s are listed under 'Sprint', not 'Sprint ST') but none of their UK stockists knows if they're stll available. My knacked bush might have also knacked the slider...this could be expensive !!

As far as I can make out all Fireblades are 45mm (ST is 43mm), some early CBR600 have Showa 43mm...one bush is the same and the other one's different (looking at Race Tech part nos again)...I bet I know which one the different one is! K-tech can get a 43mm x 1mm x 20 mm bush but there's not a lot of room to machine a wider groove in the fork leg. I've been researching the threads on the site and unfortunately there don't seem to be any alternative forks for the 955i ST/RS (I think someone once said they were going to try with t509 forks, but that's the best I've been able to find)

Missed the bleeding obvious, 1050 ST also uses Showa 43mm and the bushes are actually the same.... Looks like a phone call to dealer tomorrow to see if Triumph have seen the light for making 1050 bushes available, or whether it's also a case of 1050 owners beware !

Race Tech has them. You will need a set of inside and outside bushings (top and bottom) They are cheaper through Race Tech.

Triumph don't supply 1050 ST bushes separately from the legs either ! Jeff - thanks for the info, you guys in the States are lucky, Race Tech 'agents' in the UK don't seem to stock bushes (it's possible to try and order them but I've been given a lead time of 4-6 weeks). Stll, as the 955 and 1050 share the parts at least they shouldn't be going out of production in the near future.....
