Hey Guys
got a speedo problem. I recenly had a speedo cable snap but even before that I notice at above 50mph it was reading 10 mph more than I was going (ie read 75 was actually doing 65).

I replaced the cable after it snapped now the new one is doing the same thing. Any ideas??

Speedos the world over, wether cable or digital regularly over-read by 10%....................even a different profile tyre (tire) can affect it!!!

Yeah my SV was off but never by this much. Guys at the dealer said the same thing. Said there was nothing he could do about it.

Yeah, like Frank says check the profile of the front tyre. Compared to the stock 70 series a 65 will over read by 3.2% and a 60 series by 5.2%. Then they wear still smaller. Added to the manufacturers inbuilt "plus something minus nothing" tolerance you'll easily get 10% out.
