They like weather though, apparently it adds atmosphere to dramatic landscapes.

Spotting tiny bits of the "The Coe" or three second long glimpses of Sky from Kyle in between battering rain and near never ending streams of 80mph cloud is all a good game for them.

Standing on a rock looking out to a sea you cant see with the wind in your hair and all that stuff just like some dodgy RunRig video - very popular.

Flash I reckon you've had a dam sight better weather up there than down here in Wales - but then again they do say God looks after his own

This year like last year down in Glasgow pissing down all summer long, F;ing miserable . The misses and me are really thinking seriously of leaving this country as we now feel as much as we love Scotland life is just too short to live in a rain socked bog for ¾ of the year I want to ride without 4 layers of kit on in May and to sit of an evening outside with a beer in my hand and not under a umbrella with a jacket on in mid August

Ya I’ve got a pall that went there too and loves it but we are looking into Australia as I’ve been there working some time back and I’ve been wondering ever since why I came home.. The politics (greedy corrupt money grabbers gits the lot of them) the social brake down of the place ( An increasing nation of piss heads and teen mums) Increasing police state (more than 50% of CCTV in operation in this contrary then the reas of the planet !) is truing the place into a shit place to live and bring put my kids. So I’m off to the Australian embassy 12:30 Friday for an first interview..

Hey Graham. My sentiments exactly.
One step ahead of you though mate I've got my Oz visa and am just trying to find a job somewhere in Oz. Adelaide is my preferred destination although Brisbane sounds nice. I just can't wait to hop on my bike ride down to Philip Island and watch the master Mr. Rossi do his work and Nori San on his Ducati blitz everybody. Might pop round to Mr. Doohans gaff or even Wayne Gardner for a few tinnies. I can but dream but then again who knows?
Good luck with your plans and give me an email if you need any tips or info on the visa application process. By the way , I lived in Glasgow for a few years. Loved the place, and still do, but it's the only place that I bought a fuckin' umbrella in the middle of summer. That's saying something for someone who lives up in the VERY far North of this beautiful country. Fuckin' crap weather.....Amen!

The Oz,y man the say yes;esh.. So it was with mixe emotions that i'v booked up to go over with the wife and kids for a 4 week stay just after the new year, And to check out a couple of job offers I have..I love my Scotland I just cant take that the place has lost its sole and has turnd to the bottel. liveing to the most part on overblown past glories. It was the day to day working and the hart of the people that made this place, not the battles and blood . Them bits where easy and for the benefit of the rich few. I’m sad coz it seems now to me that its the sole less greed mongers that are at the head and are killing the hart of the many at this time.. My kids deserve better than that. we all do..

Anyway good luck and I hope the offers pan out - I'm sure it's a good "future" move
