Whats the position regarding fruity cans and dark visors on this run given the police presence? I'd hope given the charity aspect and number of bikes they'd turn a blind eye !?!

Not normally a problem as you say 7000 bikers and 20 or so police they don't worry or haven't in the past.

Despite the clouds I tried to get there but turned back when the rain started in earnest. Fingers crossed for next year.

Given the total lack of interest in investigating my Hit & Run I've become a bit cynical about the police especially given the number of people I know who have been pulled and fined for minor traffic offences. I guess they get to tick more boxes an generate more income that way as opposed to spending resources on tracking down real criminals, probably the governemnts fault for imposing targets on them. I didn't think theyd want to make themselves that unpopular but given the hundreds of minor traffic violations that 7000 bikes and riders present they must have to show a great level of restraint.

Pie Eater I've been working in Exter for the last 3 weeks not seen anything looked at all the balck cars I saw.

I would have thought with the DVLA data base the police could track down the Honda there can't be many about anymore and they were never that popular when they were new.

As for the police once I would have risked my life to help a policeman in trouble now I wouldn't piss on one if he was on fire.
This come's from the personal contact I've had with them over the last 3 or 4 years.

The Collisions unit said they checked the DVLA database for the whole of the UK and there was no match for the car and the area. I don't know what criterea they looked for but I do know it took them less than 24 hours to decide they weren't interested. By checking on Google I found an exact match at a dealers in Braunton ........

I don't know who the police serve, it's not the public.
