Early warning for a winter warmer - if there is enough interest I will go on a week long survey of thames valley pubs to sort out a motorcycle friendly location.

Interest/pub suggestions, please.

I can turn up!

I recommend Jekyll and Hyde in Turgis Green (A33 reading side of the half way point between reading and basingstoke)

or Golden Retriever in bracknell (RG40 3DR)

We need somewhere that is reasonably central for Thames Valley, north Hants and west London.

Last time I visited J&H it wasn't great - reflected in the BITE reviews.

whats the bracknell pub like?

I was thinking of going over to meet Rob, Berlin84 & DM at Four Wentways at 1, including a run through the Chilterns. Could meet at On yer Triumph at say 1200?

Otherwise its Foxes and the roads you know around here - depends what your time constraints are.

did think about going to BSB qualifiers, but questioned £15 to watch paint dry

Mornin !

Jazz, do you reckon they've finished decorating that place just west of Hook - at the x-roads of the A30 and the short stretch of road that leads down to J5 on the M3 ?

Tax runs out on the 30th, but what the hell ....

Who is still interested in this - suggest we stick with the Bracknell pub in the absence of other bike friendly locations - ST the pub at Hook has gone all 3 course meals & mondeos -

For part time bikers - while we might have to use headlights it should be dry

I'm hoping to make this - depends on work and other crap going on.

What's the lowdown on Foxes then? Just paffed around on the net and found a lot of reviews that say it's gone downhill of late. Such as:

August 1 2008:
“I've not been up to Fox's for about 6 months and what a shock I got at the poor service and poor food at prices not as cheap as before. In my opinion, it has gone downhill fast lately and that was reflected by the fewer bikers than I have seen before on a sunny weekend. Sad really, because it was attracting a good following and bikers will vote with their feet.”

September 9 2008:
"Foxes used to be OK until those two blonde birds started turning up and perving over all the leather-clad bloke's arses. Now my missus won't let me go any more..."
