with the 2008 Sprint?
I have now done the first 800 kilometres and its going in for its first service today.
The problem I've found is when selecting first gear from stationary, it makes the most awful double clunk as it engages. Its loud enough to be scary.............and sounds like the gearbox is going to self destruct.
When the bike has been ridden for a while it still clunks into first (when stationary) but much quieter than the first time you use it.
I have adjusted the clutch trying both settings ie. 0.05-0.08mm and 2-3mm of free play but it has made no difference.
I always warm up the motor from cold, before pulling away.
Is this a problem?

Thanks

Don't know...
Do Trumpets have running in oil to start with - up to first service?

Not sure if it's a problem.
1st often goes in with a fair old crash on mine, has done on a lot of bikes I've owned, hot or cold.

It should improve after the 1st service, but to avoid the clunk, pull in the clutch, count to 10, engage gear.

Rob if I waited until I had counted that far I'd have forgotten what I was supposed to be doing....

Just got back and its a different bike.

55euros lighter, pretty good price.

The service manager said that the oil triumph put in to run the bike in is pretty basic stuff and I guess that was the reason for the loud clunking.
Right pull in clutch then,
un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf, dix
