Hi Wonder if you could help me... yep headlights. Can anyone suggest the best way to upgrade the lights on my Sprint. Bought back in July and love the bike however became aware of its poor lighting a month ago. I have been working abroad and am due to return back to the Uk this coming weekend, given the clocks going back its the first on my project list. So, what are my options and were can I buy / have fitted. Appreciate any advice thanks steve

Good idea, but they aren't actually legal, if you worry about that sort of thing. Alternately fit OSRAM NIGHTBREAKERS or equivalent. They give the best available light that is legal. Take time adjusting them correctly too. You'll be surprised how badly adjusted Triumph headlights are.

Yep, straight replacement. Dip is now pretty good. Main is improved, but still woefully inadequate.

I normally sell them through work, but have no stocks at present. Can't recall the price, about £15 I think and I may buy some more as there is still some interest in them. I'll check when I get back off me hols. Failing that, Fleabay prices were very good when I last looked.

Fitted HID units today.... amazing, highly recommend. Took my time stripped the front end and a relative simple installation. ( with help from King Key... cheers !) Now have 2 sets of osrams up for grabs ... oh well .

Just ordered my HID kit from Frank at Triumph-online. OSRAMS were better than standard - but still pants.

It all looks reasonably straightforward (famous last words) , my main things is how did you attach the ballasts to the bike?

Yes it is, couple of tips You will need to make a hole in the back of the rubber cover on the light to allow the lights and cable to go through. I cut in a + and then fed cables from the lamp side, makes a tidy job. I then used a couple of tie cables around the orginal rubber to secure tight seal on the light unit. The ballasts I positioned behind the instument panel and used a couple of self tapping screws to secure. I aslo removed the top fairing made it a lot easier

Cheers Steve. Just need to wait for the Missus to be out one evening so that I can 'play' with the bike 'again'.
