Would anybody be interested in a group purchase of these products?

Any of the kits are available within the group buy.

Link: http://998cc.com/triumph_comfort/29

Price is unknown yet as numbers will dictate the discount. But should be a decent amount off.

Please email me if genuinly interested.

Iv think ive got the same model as yrs animal, I take it you dont find the comfort too good? I gotta say that the 02 is leaps and bounds better than the T595 I had last year. I can ride mine all day now without any serious issues, its only long motorway stuff where i need to stop every 100 odd miles but 2 mins later im ready to go again.

I had a bad car crash 2 years ago. My main problem in that I permanently have numb forearms and fingers (bike or not) and find it difficult to keep my head angled up, otherwise it seems comfortable.

I ordered the kit for my 595 about two weeks ago and I'm still waiting .

I emailed the firm and they said they were waiting for the yoke to come in 'anytime now'!!!

If your going to do a bulk order I'd ask how long it will take to come if I were you.

i'm interested, but concerned that we'll also need a longer clutch cable and (i don't mind getting i touch with them direct), how close to the body work, tank and front fairing, does it come. The only reason being is that I have a set of Gilles adjustable risers, and the adjustment is quite limited before hitting bodywork.

They say no extended cables are needed and the kit comes with extended brake pipes.

They also say that the bars clear plastics and tank fine.

**IMPORTANT**

The previous price quoted, I have now been told, does not include VAT. Sorry. My mistake.

The price of the kit (with free bar ends) is £173.40. This includes VAT but not the P&P from me to you (that shouldn't be too much though).

There will be no P&P charge from 998.com to me as I will pick the order up directly.

Hope this hasn't put anybody off.

**Be aware that these prices are still less than trade prices and the bars and bar ends are both Renthal products. Matt doesn't normally do such good deals, especially with the bar ends thrown in.**

You're not too late.

From the 998.com site:

"This kit includes the following items:

1x Alloy top yoke with risers

1x Superbike unbraced 22mm handlebar (silver, black, gold or blue option)

1 Pair of extended front stainless steel brakelines with stainless steel banjos and banjo bolts plus a clear plastic cover over each line to protect the motorcycle bodywork - Lifetime warranty

1x Master cylinder relocation bracket/pipe

Please note: If certain parts or original cables are not listed it means they are not required for this conversion, cables not listed can be rerouted using the diagram included in the top yoke packaging!

This kit will require no screen or fairing re-profiling to achieve full lock"

No, sorry. The discount is for me to use when ordering with them directly.

I'll be buying them and will despatch them once I have been paid, I wouldn't rip anyone off as I would be left with a load of kits to get rid of.

Definitive answer on the ignition barrel question.

"The ignition barrel is held on from the underside as per original, the alloy doesnt go all the way round the barrel but it does fit perfectly and allows the steering lock to still work. Thanks Matt"

HI Folks,

I am quite happy with the standard setup so don't want to change BUT. The clipon on the throttle side has just gone to pieces... i.e. the clamp onto the fork cracked at the top. Fun at 180K. Luckily it just went loose and did not fall off. I think the previous owner must have dropped her and cracked the fitting. There are some scratches on the exhaust that suggest this may have been the cause...

Anyway, as you guys are swiching your setups would any of you care to part with the right hand side clipon??

Heres hoping

Mike

In the meantime, I'm checking out the LSL Tour match route wiith Jack Lilliys.

Should give a bout an 1.5" raise on the standard handle bars, but the angle they sweep back at looks to be the same as standard.

If there is not going to be a short lead time on the bar end weights, may I suggest you ship the kits as they are, then send the bar end weights when they do arrive.

You could recover any costs you've encured

I will then get the packages weighed and give you all prices. They will then be despatched ASAP.

Bar ends arrived today. A little late I know but they are here.

I am out all day today until early Thur morning so I will box them up on Thursday night and try and work out the postage costs.

Keep checking back for what happens next.

**Do we all live too far apart to meet up and have a big bar fittting session? Just thougght it'd be a good idea as it would make it much easier regarding knowledge, toke yoke tool, routing of brake lines etc. I'm in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire BTW.**

AM,

I'm in Reading, Berkshire which is 200 miles from Ellesmere Port. Others are in Whitby, Luton etc so I think we're scattered to to the 4 corners of the U.K.

Here's a though. I'm visiting the bike show at the NEC Monday 1st December, is anyone else going that day?

Ok

Tony Rokins - '02 Daytona + Silver = £183.40 (inc. P&P, VAT etc etc)

John Rees - t595 + Silver = £183.40 (inc. P&P, VAT etc etc)

Joe Bloggs - Sprint RS + Gold = £152.40 (inc. P&P, VAT etc etc)

P&P is Standard Parccel rate up to £250 compensation for parcels up to 4kg. Our parcels weigh 2.8kg. [http=http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1;jsessionid=.....mp;catId=400031]

My preference for payment is bank transfer. Easy to do, secure and costs us both nothing. Paypal is OK too but there are charges involved I think.

Email me (at darrenarmour@yahoo.co.uk) your address and payment preference I will respond with either my Bank account details or my paypal details. Also give me your forum name and what it is you have ordered (just to save confusion).

Packages shown below.

Which cables besides brake lines do you have to replace once you fit the new bars?

I was looking at my T595 and it looks like throttle and clutch cable might not stretch far enough with these comfort bars.

From 998cc:

This kit will require no screen or fairing re-profiling to achieve full lock

Beware of imitations of this kit using a single extended brakeline with no plastic cover and alloy MOT unfriendly banjos, we supply the complete brakeline kit to improve the braking efficiency of your motorcycle as well as the asthetic upgrade."
