Ok, decided to tackle this little beauty and record how I did it.

Here goes.

New horn doesn't fit straight onto the original bracket. So here is how I did it.

Original horn removed:

Brackets fitted and bent to shape:

Brackets splayed apart for fitting on either side of the original bracket. Having the 2 plates split like this will increase rigidity when fitted:

Side view of horn fitted. I retained the orginal horn as it saved me looking for another bolt and also enables me to go back to the original horn or fit it in parrallel to the Magum for two tones.

Note the polarity of the wires, this was the loudest way to wire it up.

Front view. Loads of clearance and the horn opening points forward.

Hope this helps.

On the fitting instructions it does advise you not to test the horn in a confined space unlees you want to go

Were you able to fit it without removing the panels?

Yep, no problem at all. A little fiddly at times but nothing beyond my chubby fingers.

Now I must get one of these for the S3!
Seriously.....I'm 6 foot tall, weigh 18 stone (ahem) and have a full Wolf system without the baffle on a 2002 Speed Triple. I wear a black Shoei X-Spirit with a blue visor and STILL wankers claim they didn't notice me. The stock horn sounds like an asthmatic mouse with a toy trumpet during rush-hour traffic, and the Stebel sounds just the job.

Got one of these for my T595, but it doesn't fit in the original place, which is up under the nose. It fouls on the mudguard when the suspention is compressed.

Going to have to relocate it to something like the 955 position.
