Does anyone know where I can get some of the electrical connectors used in the wiring loom and pins/sockets they use? What are their official name?

I think you can find these items in RS shops and catalogues IIRC.

+1. I have also bought my Triumph stuff from our local RS Components here in Finland.

Hometrix, it will be a pain to find the connector you are looking for though as there are millions of them in the RS catalogs. Which ones in particular are you looking for? I have a few part numbers listed at home; I can post them here later.

The ECU connector is standard OBD11 so you can get one from maplins IIRC.

All the connections (male and female) for the instrumentation and the ignition switch. Will allow me to make extensions without butchery.

Homertrix, I don't know those ones, but on a 1050 I think at least the ignition key connector under tank was of the same connector family as the blanking plug.

You can take a look at all the connectors in a family by searching the RS website. When you find one connector page, it usually has links to the family document that has all the #s.

_____

***Blanking plug:
Plug: Tyco AMP 173851-1 / RS 362-9086
Female: Tyco AMP 174933-1 / RS 362-9193
Push-in pins: Tyco AMP 175029-1 / RS 362-9373

***Single wire turn signal etc connectors & pins:

02-09-1144
02-09-1119
03-09-2011

complete connector: 1619PRT
