I want to learn more about tuning my bike (with the Tuneboy/Tune edit product which I have) but feel a little out of my depth and would like to research the subject more. Rather than just asking a load of questions (and possibly not asking the right questions ) I would like to read and grasp more of the basics and principles. As good as this site is, it doesn't have a detailed tutorial that a tuning beginner can easily follow. Unless some experienced guy wishes to write one for us all. So in the meantime any good sites or books that can be recommended?

Homertrix, I've had a look at the link above, both at the PDF and the zipped folder containing the WBO2Analyzer. The question is, after looking at WB02's website I see they do several choices of system, so will the one called 'Techedge 2J1 budget wideband system' be suitable for use with your WBO2Analyzer program? http://trigger-wheels.com/store/index1.html (then look under Wideband Lambda Systems) [UK supplier's site].

So if one plugs in the wideband in place of the stock narrow band sensor, where does the ECU get the narrow band feed it is expecting? Or the ECU is happy with the wideband signal?

Most of the wideband analyzers have a narrow (emulated) band output that can be used for that if needed. On my RS I just removed the narrowband altogether. I have a tuneboy so I just reset the MIL light afterwards. Alternatively you can just leave the narrow band connected and tie it up out of the way being careful to keep in mind that it gets hot when in operation.

Cerberus, I've tried to access the link above and it takes me only as far as the home page. I've joined the site so it isn't that that's causing the prob. Could you give me the name of the thread, date last accessed and which part of the forum to look and I'll find it manually. Cheers.

That was a pretty good read about the basic stuff, but it hadn't gone into the meat of the discussion yet. Looking forward to future chapters where the topic gets into the weeds of things.
