Almost got all of the pics so it's time to see if anyone is prepared to sponsor the pages as per previous years.

one page is set aside for the printers so we need 11 pages sponsored.

IIRC it was £50 a page last year which seems fair enough

Isn't one page set aside for the compositor as well?

I will donate to the Northern Lads & Lasses as 08

I've tried for the last 2 years with no success on that front. It's always assumed that ALL bikers like heavy rock, even if years back it was always rock & roll.

I'll still ask the lads though as one of them owns a decorating business too, so we could do a double page!.

BLIZZ - event though you can't be othered to wait for me I'll still take one page to show I hold no grudges ... 'Applewood Vehicle Finance' + other details as previously.

Let me know if there are any other spare pages when it comes close to closing the book on this.

Not stictly true Chizz. Blizz puts a lot of time and effort in collecting and putting the pics together and gives me a design to follow. I then do the setting which is time consuming but I'm happy to do it. I didn't print it last year since stooz's printer bettered my price by shillin's but yes you're right, the work is in the setting while the printer presses a button on his fancy digital printer and gets all the credit and a free ad

Just a thought - wasn't Craig Jones the first rider to win a Supersport race on a Triumph? A Daytona 600 in its last outing.

Wouldn't that make a nice front cover for the Calendar? Might be a bit late, but worth considering.

Do we have a nominated charity this year yet? Another thought ... if we do use a picture of Jonesy, and if we haven't a nominated charity yet, then we could ask his family if they wanted to nominate one. I'm sure the race team would act as a conduit for us.

They were from the gallery on the old Triumph Valmoto web site but as that site closed a few years back I can no longer check what the T&C's were.

Obviously Jack Valentine is still going strong so we could make an approach that way.
Bizzard's Viv was quite well in with the TVM team at the time so may have some contacts?

If someone is well placed to make enquiries then great if not I'm happy to pitch in with time and effort - I'm easy whatever

I guess that they would want to see a proof of the calendar before we commit to print. It may also need to be borne in mind that we need to allocate a copy of the finished article for them.

Oh Christ NO! Sorry, I've just re-read my post and it is indeed unclear I wasn't saying we should approach Craig’s family next week!

I meant more along the lines of just trying to find ways of identifying the photographer/copyright holder/TVM webmaster, maybe in a couple of months, however I am assuming there is plenty of time. If you need to finalise the calendar soon then it's a no-goer anyway.

I'm shutting up now before i make another goof

The email has gone to Parkalger Honda Race Team - if they are not comfortable with approaching the family on our behalf just yet then I'm sure that they will tell us that.

I have made it clear that we would understand and accept any response they may have for us at this time.

Unlike my usual self I was quite diplomatic.

Sorry Rik - I didn't make it clear that I didn't think you had said anything out of turn.

To be honest I actually misread OGGS post, not that I am worried about the timing myself simply because of who I have sent it to - the team will have a good deal of understanding of the situation with the family right now. I wouldn't be surprised if similar requests haven't been forwarded from elsewhere, along with requests from the press for comments etc. My email to them was low key and sympathetic.

There is no way an approach directly to Craigs family would have been appropriate.
