The RG250 I have just bought runs sweet as a nut but the clutch has seized. Done a google and two techniques to free it have come up.
Put front wheel against a wall, rev the nuts off it and bang it into gear.
Bump start and get up to 20mph then pull clutch and hit rear brake at the same time.
Any more suggestions?

take the clutch cover off and gentle prize the plates apart with a screw driver

change the gear box oil at the same time

Will that not just have the same effect as just sitting on the bike and popping it into gear which is how I found it was seized to start with?

Similar but much safer (back wheel off the groung hence no drive). and should free the clutch.

Would that not risk damaging the plates?

Sorted. On paddock stand in first with a few revs and dabbed the brake a few times. No problems.

I once used the brick wall approach on my mates Guzzi Le-Mans 2!

They I rode it around the block - problem sorted!

I had an RD250 that did that once.
I bump started it and rode it about a mile with the clutch pulled in. After a while it freed itself.
