Also a bit of the airbox has broken and needs to be stuck back on, but that seems to be a different type of plastic.

Anyone an expert on this sort of thing?

Try plastic weld - not 100% sure if it will work on airbox plastic, but it's the best for placky...

I've seen first hand what the "Bike medic" people can do with the "Plastic Welding" and its bloody amazing.

Airbox can be "Araldited" though, surely

I have a low 'belief' threshold with so called superglues - I reckon araldite would quickly degrade through heat / vibration / oil

Araldite - him good with heat / vibration / oil (I've used it on engine casings and chaincases no prob)

You can get woven mat and epoxy in yacht shops if you need to put some reinforcement behind something, seems to work reasonable well on plastic (I've used it to repair a split in the hugger and it's been fine for a year or so)

TITF FatherTime©.....

Despite despite properly preparing surfaces etc, I have found epoxy / araldite / superglue
etc. tend to be ineffective over time - whereas in the case of plastics the faces of the parts being bonded actually fuse giving a strong lasting bond

I glued the broken ABS fairing back together with some Plastic Weld as recommended above, about £6 from Maplins. Bloody strong stuff.
Although it has an incredibly strong odour until cured, so much so if you're too close the vapours makes your eyes water.
