Are there any noticable technical differences between the 2008 and 2009 Sprint ST?

Thanks,
Aad M.

mines an 08, difference between it and my 05 was higher bars and aero screen, bigger air duct on the panels ( though this well may have been an 06 mod as it ran so bl**dy hot on your legs!), think only thing added this year was the steel tank may be wrong

No longer do black or dark metallic red, although not sure which year they dropped these colours.

New for 08...............Steel tank, altered or new-type lights (allegedly), extra heat absorbsion under the fairing, harder rubber on the footpegs..
Oh, and the greatest colour you can buy............Graphite........

[edited]:

Did the black engines appear for '08 or was that earlier ?

I know they claimed improved lamps, but they certainly don't look any different.

You can buy an 08 Sprint now.

But you'll have to wait until around the 2nd week of January for an 09 model at the earliest.

The guy was asking about 08 to 09 changes, you guys are talking about changes between previous model years...

To be honest I haven't heard of any difference for the 09 models apart from a different colour range (graphite, black and pacific blue will be available).

All the other changes people are talking about have been introduced in previous model years. 08 was the first to get a metal tank.

Good point.
The Triumph website currently lists the 2008 and 2009 ranges.

Pacific blue, graphite and tornado red for '08

Just Pacific blue and graphite for '09

Don't start Rob - It is possible to create 100% black only with a surface containing ALL colours; this being the only way to prevent any colour from being reflected back to the beholder.
